Meeting Objectives
Karen Mack Management Consultants LLC
People leave meetings uncertain of the objective(s), or can't recall what was discussed during the last meeting.
There's one thing I've found as a staple in the work culture of the United States - we love to meet and to eat. Unfortunately, all these meetings don't necessary equate to time well spent. Unclear objectives, lack of an agenda, long-winded speakers, last minute changes including decision shifts are some of the reasons why people leave meetings feeling as if valuable time has been wasted. "Meeting Mastery," is a customized workshop that's a mixture of communication and meeting-management solutions and/or Enhance Interpersonal Communication training will help produce more effective meetings.
Tip: For short - to the point meetings, host it as standing room only. Meet in a room with no chairs, I guarantee the meeting will be completed quickly.
